Our Beliefs

We embrace biblical and historical Christianity as expressed in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, and as summarized in the Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds. These beliefs knit us together with all of God’s faithful people  around the world and throughout history. Additionally as a Reformed church, we affirm the five core principles of the Protestant Reformation: that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed through the Scriptures alone, and that this is all for the glory of God alone.

As a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) we are connected to other churches in our region and beyond for the purpose of fellowship, accountability and the advance of the church’s mission. The PCA is united in the belief that the Westminster Confession and Catechisms faithfully express the theology of the Scriptures.

Our faith can be faithfully summarized in the Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
