As part of our pursuit of kingdom community, we strive to be a church in which individuals with disabilities are not only welcomed but deeply known and celebrated as invaluable members of our body. We are more whole as a body when we are all present in this way! (1 Corinthians 12:14-25)
Sunday Mornings: In order to meet the unique needs of our members and guests with disabilities, we offer volunteers to pair with children or adults experiencing disability during Sunday worship services, and we have a sensory room on each level of our church building available for use. We have accessible parking spaces near our main entrance and marked accessible seating in our worship center. Most of all, we want to get to know you and consider how CCC can welcome you and be enriched by Christ in you!
Outside of Sundays, we offer two programming options for our friends and neighbors experiencing disability: rEcess and Befriend. In these programming options and beyond, we partner with and learn from 99 Balloons, an organization that seeks to build inclusive communities so that every person with a disability and their family can live a full life within relationships. 99 Balloons shares office space with Christ Community and works locally and globally from right here in Fayetteville! For more information, visit https://99balloons.org/. Email Director of Ministry Andrew Brill with any questions about disability at CCC.
rEcess is a monthly respite night for families experiencing disability. It provides intentional rest for the parents and a fun night planned for kids with disability & their siblings. The CCC rEcess night is the 2nd Friday of each month.
bEfriend is a group of adults with and without disability gathering together to build community, establish new friendships, and hang out! We go to concerts in the park, We love these relationship building opportunities with those within and outside our church!
